1. Consent to electronic records
By using fill-and-sign and confirming consent in the product (or accepting these linked policies at signup as an organization Owner), you agree that we and your firm may provide disclosures, documents, and signed copies electronically rather than on paper.
2. Electronic signatures
You agree that your typed name, drawn mark, or other in-product indication, together with related audit metadata (such as time, IP address, and user agent), constitutes your electronic signature on the document presented.
You intend that signature to have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature to the extent permitted by applicable law (including the U.S. ESIGN Act and state UETA enactments).
3. Hardware and software
You need a modern web browser, internet access, and the ability to view PDFs or in-browser document previews and to download files when your firm grants download permission.
4. Copies and retention
You may download a copy of signed documents from the portal when your firm grants download access. Firms are responsible for retaining signed records as required by their professional obligations.
5. Withdrawing consent
You may stop using electronic signing and request paper processes from your firm. Withdrawing consent does not affect documents already signed. Firm Owners may contact support regarding organizational preferences.
6. Firm responsibility
The firm customer decides which documents are appropriate for electronic signature and is responsible for obtaining any additional client consents its practice or jurisdiction requires.
