Document collection and fill-and-sign
Client documents organized by company
Most document “portals” are a dump folder. Firms need requests, internal vs client visibility, PDF field prep, and a signature record — tied to the same company as the compliance work.
Requests instead of inbox archaeology
Ask for a file in the company workspace. The client uploads in the portal. Staff review it without hunting through email attachments named scan001.pdf.
Guided fill-and-sign
Mark fields or draw fill slots on a PDF. The client completes the document in the browser. The signed file keeps consent and signature metadata (including IP and user agent).
Access is part of the document
View, download, and sign routes require a signed-in user and permission checks. Client users only reach documents meant for them on assigned companies.
Questions
Is this a full DMS like SharePoint?
No. It is document handling for compliance operations: collection, organization by company, and fill-and-sign — not enterprise records management.
Where do signed files live?
With the company in the workspace, behind authenticated routes. Firms can allow clients to download copies when that permission is set.
